This role reports to the SVP of Worldwide Marketing and Communications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with Desk Editors and senior journalists at Korea’s top technology, business, and financial media outlets – the relationships that require senior-level credibility and tenure to access and maintain
Contribute to the Korea PR plan and calendar, bringing direct market intelligence and media insight to shape prioritization, narrative, and timing
Inform the competitive PR strategy for the Korea market, including monitoring competitor positioning and identifying opportunities to advance Rebellions’ story
Write and pitch Korea-market press materials including press releases, backgrounders, Q&As, executive messaging, and localized versions of global announcements
Lead crisis and issues management in Korea: write playbooks, draft statements, and advise executive leadership on reputational risk in real time
Support CEO and executive team visibility in Korean media, including preparation for interviews, and direct collaboration with the SVP of Marketing & Communications on earnings-related and regulatory communications
Coordinate cross-border simultaneous announcement logistics with the global communications team
Work cross-functionally with investor relations, corporate affairs, legal, engineering, and product teams to ensure message alignment ahead of key announcements

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

15 -20 years of direct, hands-on PR and communications experience – this is a senior operator role. You will be drafting press materials, pitching journalists, and owning execution directly. A Korea PR Manager and external communications agency support the broader function but do not report to this role.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic media/stakeholder relations programs, including crisis communications and risk management
Deep fluency in the Korean technology and business media landscape; strong existing relationships with journalists and Desk Editors at major Korean outlets
Business-level bilingual fluency in Korean and English, written and spoken; ability to draft and approve press materials in both languages without translation support
Background in technology PR – AI, semiconductors, hardware, or enterprise tech
Experience creating and implementing social media programs (Employee Advocacy)
Experience navigating sensitive communications situations
Proven ability to counsel C-suite executives and prepare them for high-stakes media engagements
Experience at a Korean company with cross-border US or global communications structure
Tech startup experience

Strongly Preferred

Experience in a pre-IPO or public company environment
Experience with financial and investor-facing communications
Combination of agency and in-house PR experience
